Insights on Governance, Assurance and Finance Technology

Written personally by Javed Peeran. No ghostwriters, no syndicated content, and no article that exists only to hold a keyword.

About these articles

Published bimonthly. Each article answers a question clients actually ask.

Usually one that has no honest answer available elsewhere, because the honest answer involves a number, a limitation, or a situation where the service is not needed, and most firms prefer not to publish any of the three.

About these articles

Can I act on what these articles say?

Treat them as an informed starting point, not as advice for your situation. They are written from real engagements and the specifics are accurate, but an article cannot know your entity structure, your contracts or what your auditor has already accepted. Nothing here creates a client relationship, and the articles say so where a detail commonly turns on facts they cannot see.

How often is something new published?

Irregularly, and deliberately so. Articles are written when an engagement produces something worth writing down or when the same question arrives three times. Publishing to a schedule is how a practice ends up with posts nobody needed, which is the opposite of the point.

Who writes them?

Javed Peeran, personally. The practice is one person, so there is no content team and no ghostwriter. That is also why an article will occasionally say that a common approach is wrong: there is nobody to overrule the view.

Can I ask a question an article did not answer?

Yes, and it is welcome. Questions that recur usually become the next article. You get an answer either way, at no cost and with no obligation to engage.
