What is collected

Information you provide

When you submit an enquiry form we collect your name, email address, and (where you provide them) your telephone number, company name, service of interest, preferred contact method and the content of your message. We also record the page the form was submitted from, the time of submission and the originating IP address, which are used to prevent automated abuse.

Information collected automatically

Where Google Analytics 4 is enabled, standard analytics data is collected: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring source, and interaction events such as clicks on telephone, email and WhatsApp links. IP anonymisation is enabled.

This site does not use advertising cookies, does not run remarketing pixels, and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Who it is shared with

Personal information is not sold. It is disclosed only to the hosting provider that operates this website and its mail delivery, to Google where analytics is enabled, and where disclosure is required by law or by professional obligation. Where a service provider processes personal information on our behalf, they are contractually restricted to that purpose.

Retention

Enquiry records are retained for three years from last contact, then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes an engagement, the applicable retention period is set by professional and regulatory record-keeping requirements and is set out in the engagement letter. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

Your rights under California law

If you are a California resident you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used, to request deletion, to request correction, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, email info@javedpeerancpa.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We will verify your identity proportionately to the sensitivity of what is requested and respond within the statutory timeframe. There is no charge.

If you are outside the United States

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, the lawful basis for processing enquiry data is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you initiated, and for analytics it is consent where required. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, exercisable through the same contact address.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to enquiry records is restricted to the principal of the firm. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and this policy makes no such guarantee.

Please do not send confidential financial records, tax documents or security findings through the website form. Once an engagement is agreed, a secure channel will be provided for that purpose.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Where Google Analytics is enabled it sets analytics cookies, which you can block through your browser settings or through a browser extension without affecting how the site functions.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
